Our Leaders
REV. SCOTTIE REEVE
Priest in Charge
Scottie has spent the last 20 years planting and revitalising churches to make a difference in their neighbourhoods. He lives with his wife Cilla and five-year-old daughter Luna. Scottie can trace his whakapapa in the Brooklyn Parish back to his great-grandparents, who lived just a few houses up the road from where he does now. Scottie is also the national lead of Catch Network Aotearoa, an organisation that trains neighbourhood church planters. You can find out more about Scottie and his work here.
Rev. ANDY NEwport
Curate
Andy has a passion for people hearing about a Jesus who makes sense to them. Andy is a gifted teacher and worship leader who lives with his wife, Cindy and daughter, Audrey in Brooklyn. Before this, their family were part of the core team who planted and grew Lyall Bay Community Church. Andy is bi-vocational, splitting his time between serving St Matt’s Brooklyn and coding for tech start-ups.
OUR VESTRY
Each year at our AGM, St Matt’s elects Vestry members for a two-year term. Our current Vestry are (left to right) Phil Baker, Leigh Talamaivao,
Jesse Sherlock (people’s warden), Talya Coates, Lynne Bremner (vicar’s warden), Cindy Newport, and Sam Coates
